Just wanted to give you a look at the demo-reel for the Highland Park African-American History Project. I’ve been lucky enough to work with some amazing students at Highland Park High School, and some equally amazing subjects, all of whom were willing to tell us their life stories. Also thrilled to have consulting producers like Lester Spence, Daniel Varner and Ron Croudy involved, and not just because they’re all friends of mine from the University of Michigan. It’s the goal of this project to tell a small, personal story with detail and emotion, so that it might resonate with people far outside this little town in New Jersey, and we’re lucky to have those who’ve talked the talk and walked the walk involved.
